I've been building outdoor structures across East Auckland for 10 years. Decks, fences, retaining walls, pergolas - I take on the lot. I work on my own, which means whoever comes out to quote the job is the same person turning up to build it. Every project gets the same standard of care, regardless of size.

Deck Building
Hardwood, composite, or treated pine - I'll go through the options at the quote and make sure you understand what you're getting and why. I've built on flat Botany sections, elevated Howick hillside sites, and everything in between. Whether it's a straightforward ground-level platform or an elevated build on a contoured section, I'll give you a straight number and build what we agreed on.

Fence Building
Boundary fencing, privacy screens, lapped and capped - built properly to last. I use good materials and I don't cut corners on the post footings or the framing, because that's where fences fail. If you're adding a fence alongside a new deck, I'll build both so the materials and finishes sit together properly.

Retaining Walls
East Auckland has some seriously contoured sections. I've built retaining walls across Howick, Pakuranga, and Bucklands Beach - the kind of job where what's happening underground matters as much as what you can see from the street. If your wall needs an engineer's sign-off, I'll let you know at quote stage what's involved.

Pergola Building
A well-built pergola extends what you get out of your outdoor space through the year. I build attached and freestanding pergolas across East Auckland - the kind that sit properly with the house and the existing deck or outdoor area, not just bolted on as an afterthought. Timber frames, covered roofing options - I'll talk through what works for your site when I come out to quote.

I take on small renovations when they sit alongside outdoor work - decking replacement, steps, structural repairs to existing outdoor structures, outdoor improvements that don't fit neatly into a single category. I send through a written quote. What I quote is what you pay - no surprises at invoice time.
Build
I show up when I said I would and build what we agreed on. If anything comes up during the job, I'll call you before making a call that changes the cost.
Where I Work Across Auckland
I'm based in Half Moon Bay and cover East Auckland, Central Auckland, and South Auckland. The bulk of my work is in Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga, Botany, Dannemora, and the surrounding East Auckland suburbs - but I take on jobs right across the city.
